More about YAFA: Iris Mickey and Paul Mross cofounded YAFA: Yoga Accessible For All in 2018 and went through Madison's Social Association Program. We are an established non profit through our fiscal agent C4CS- Center for Community Stewardship.
Our yoga programs are all about making yoga more accessible and inviting to non traditional white middle class yoga students. We strive to bring the benefits and joy of yoga to groups of people by finding appropriate teachers and gearing the curriculum to what is most meaningful for that group. Our highest aspiration in yoga is to support others in gaining practices that promote self agency with their own physical mental health.
We have offered yoga programs through Special Olympics, The Parkinson's Association, The Madison Senior Center, and are a vendor for the IRIS program that supports people with disabilities. We are currently offering a program through Just Bakery Vocational Training Program and in 2022, we will be expanding our programs due to a grant we recently received.
Please contact Iris or Paul if your group is interested in developing a yoga program.
