Summer 2014: Full On Summer is Here!

The beauty of summer is incredible this year! The gardens are splendid and the lush of everything seems to speak to PURNA: The Fullness of Consciouness exposing itself to us in all its glory of color, reminding us of our own potential. This rose photo was taken in the Garden of Harmony Hills, where I have been attending my Yoga Therapy Training modules. I kept zooming in on it, and it kept revealing even deeper beauty!
The summer month of July is GuruPurnima, the Celebration of the Great Teacher, Guru. The teachers in our lives and the teacher within reminds us of our own fullness and that our potential for growing into and showing our own beauty is what we are here for. This rose reminded me of how delving in deeper brings us to the richness of life right in our own back yard.
I am pleased to be an eternal student and so appreciate all of my teachers, past and present for allowing me to search for my own fullness, which increases my desire to share this with others. This Fall I will be offering a new two hour class on Tuesday mornings, that will be a full spectrum class including not only asana, but consistently include pranayama and meditation, and sometimes chanting. I look forward to sharing this “yoga is not just exercise” class with those of you that I know are ready! Also, the Yoga Alliance 200 hour teacher training will begin in November! Many of you know that this has been in the works for some time now and I am excited to begin with the first group this fall. The more people sharing yoga in its truest meaning and intention, the better off more people are! ~ Iris
